SpaceKenya recommends that you use Filezilla FTP Software. It is available for all operating systems.
http://filezilla-project.org/download.php Download and follow the following steps
use your domain name for the host e.g if your website is www.abc1234.com then that will be it.
use the username you were given for the host for the username.
use the password you were given for the host for the password.
use the port 21 and click quick connect.
Once the computer has connected to the remote site you will need to navigate to where the root file of the website is on the local site and to the public_html folder on the remote site
Once you have opened the website on the local site and the pub;ic_html folder on the remotesite you can now drag the files from the local to remote site.
